HEERENVEEN – Heerenveen Jan Olde Riekerink was officially presented as the new trainer.

The Telegraaf/Telesport reported Thursday morning all that he is the successor of Jurgen Streppel. The 55-year-old Tukker has a contract for two seasons, signed with the Marbles. “I am a happy and proud trainer,” says Olde Riekerink. “Glad to coach in the premier league and proud that at Heerenveen, a club with a tradition.”
This season ended Heerenveen under Streppel on the eighth place in the premier league. In the play-offs for European football had the Marbles in the first round bend for FC Utrecht. Already in march made Heerenveen known not to go with a Member.
Olde Riekerink, last year fired by the Turkish football club Galatasaray, previously worked for quite some time in various roles at Ajax. The 55-year-old coach was in Amsterdam, including youth coach and head of the youth.
The ex-prof of Sparta Rotterdam, FC Dordrecht and Telstar also worked for AA Gent, FC Emmen, FC Porto, Metaloerg Donetsk and the Chinese football association.
