LONDON – Experts that the deadly fire in the London Grenfell Tower to investigate, not for a ban on combustible siding. Survivors have urged such a measure, but the lead researcher told the BBC that the lack of compliance with the rules is a problem.
The fire at Grenfell Tower took last year to 71 people’s life. The fire was spreading rapidly through the façade cladding on the outside.
Principal investigator Judith Hackitt says that some people “cannot take responsibility for creating buildings that are unsafe to live in.” They concluded that the whole system is on the kick must be and calls for stricter penalties when building regulations are ignored.
