WASHINGTON – A U.s. Senate committee on Wednesday voted for Gina Reel as the new director of the CIA. Reel is the candidate of president Donald Trump as the new boss of the intelligence service. It is expected that the full Senate and her candidacy next week to confirm.
The Inlichtingencommissie voted behind closed doors with ten against five for the nomination of Reel. That was expected after two of the seven Democratic members, vice-chairman Mark Warner and Joe Manchin, had said at the eight Republicans on the commission to join in their support for the Reel.
Trump nominated the already 33 years at the CIA working at the vice president level Reel in march to Mike Pompeo as a director to follow. Reel was acting director of the bureau when Pompeo Trumps second minister of Foreign Affairs.
