She sings and talks about hits from the past 850 years. “From the middle ages through the baroque, classical and romantic through to opera and jazz, blues, gospel, soul and pop, and not to forget, heavy metal, funk dance and hip hop,” says the mezzo-soprano. “The repertoire will consist of Bach and Beyoncé, and everything in between.”

Kross broke up in 2017, at a huge audience by being the first opera singer ever to join the television show’s Best Singers. She sang in all the important concert halls of the world including Paris, Salzburg, Vienna, and Carnegie Hall in New York. The Dutch singer sang the title role of Carmen in the state Opera Stuttgart and the prestigious Glyndebourne Opera Festival.
