Last week it became known that the popular British animated film ‘Chicken Run’ in 2000, a sequel. Entertainmentmagazine New Musical Express (NME) reports that the sequel jotted down will be by the writers of the original, Karey Kirkpatrick and John O’farrell, and the British animation studio Aardman as a producer.
The original ‘Chicken Run’ was the most successful stop-motionfilm of all time, with a total revenue of 225 million dollars. Aardman Animations has also the second most successful stop-motion in his name: ‘Wallace & Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit’. The studio works with small figures in clay, of which each time a picture is taken. That are fast, played one after each other, so that movement occurs.
Sam Fell will be directing the sequel to get your hands on. Fell directed earlier also the animated movie ‘Flushed Away’ in 2006. About the cast are still no details known. Aardman production will begin when the studio’s current project, ‘Shaun The Sheep 2’, rounded.
