LONDON – The British Interior minister, Amber Rudd, has Sunday night unexpectedly, her resigned. The bewindsvrouw was the last time under fire due to the so-called Windrush scandal.
That Windrush generation is a group of people from the Caribbean regions, which between 1948 and 1971 to the United Kingdom has come and now must prove that they legally reside in the country. Many of them live for years in Great Britain.
Rudd, fiercely criticized for its strict approach to illegal immigrants, gives Monday an explanation about her departure. Prime minister Theresa May has the resignation been accepted.
This weekend popped up there is also a memo of Rudd which found that they, in contrast to previous assertions are actually at the height of targets in the area of expulsions of illegal immigrants.
Rudd was since July of 2016, minister of the Interior.
