Steven Irwin has 11,5 years after his death a posthumous star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. His widow Terri and their children Bindi (19) and Robert (14) represented the legendary ’Crocodile Hunter’ on this special and very emotional day.

After Terri a few words about her late husband had spoken, took her son Robert to the word. Then the baton to pass on to Bindi, her tears could not hold back during her speech. “I am a bit emotional, because in my wildest dreams I had never dared dream that we would ever stand up to my father to honor. With many thanks to Russell Crowe, papa’s great friend and who of us, for he has a letter of recommendation written and is more or less the driving force behind this tribute,” says Bindi. “We praise our very happy with someone like him.”

“Of course we miss Steve every day, but we are now ten years on, and we want especially to look forward to and his estate to monitor and continue. Bindi’s friend Chandler put the work of Steve on in the Australia Zoo and I’m sure my husband is super proud of him would have been,” said Terri after the unveiling of the star.
