The production company of Brad Pitt, called Plan B, has acquired rights to make a film of news coverage of The New York Times at the time of the ‘unmasking’ of Harvey Weinstein. This reports Entertainment Tonight.
In October 2017, the newspaper carried a damning piece about one of the most powerful producers in Hollywood, that women for years, systematically abused and even raped. The authors of the piece, Jodi Kantor and Megan Twohey, did months of research before they go out trading with their shocking findings. In imitation of this, now notorious, article came the #MeToo and TimesUp movements in the corridor.
The film will not be specific about Weinstein, but tell the story about the women that the investigation was initiated by to tell their stories and the reporters who finally revealed. Pitt has so far been very successful with the production of films. He was also involved in the oscar-winning productions 12 Years A Slave, and Moonlight.
Personal has Pitt had to deal with Weinstein, after his then-girlfriend Gwyneth Paltrow told him that Weinstein is immoral had worn against her. This was Brad story pick up and he warned the Hollywood producer ‘to her never with a finger’.
