“Good wine needs no wreath” would be the title of a random concert review of Ry Cooder. It’s been far too long (in 2009) ago that our favorite ‘Prodigal Son’, the low countries, with a visit to revered.
Ry had, after all, too busy with the canning of his new album (‘The Prodigal Son’, who in may), and writing two musical pamphlets (“Pull Up Some Dust and Sit Down’ and ‘Election Special’).
In 2013 he released his second regular live album (‘Live in San Francisco’), and that was, like “Show Time” from 1977, recorded at The Great American Music Hall. In 2015 and 2016 went Ry together with Ricky Skaggs and Sharon White on tour. On the ‘Music for the Good People Show they played a selection from The Great Americana Songbook’.
