Apple has bought the rights to “Songwriter,” a documentary about a popular musician Ed Sheeran. The company has for the streamingrechten more than one million dollars consideration, write British media.
Remarkable about the documentary is that it was made by the cousin of the singer. Murray Cummings began filming when Sheeran is still remarkably unknown. “It was a way for me to learn better shooting, and he could use it for his MySpace and YouTube,” said cousin Murray last week versus Billboard. “When he made his first record deal signed, grapten we have that this is a great documentary would be. It really started as a joke, but at one point we had just lots of cool images.”
‘Songwriter’ was in February already shown, especially at the film festival in Berlin. Yesterday was the documentary playing at the Tribeca Film Festival in New York.
Apple will ‘Songwriter’ release in a limited number of cinemas, reports Deadline. Then will the documentary on the different platforms of the company.
