Danny Blind is Monday night at the Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders officially appointed as a member of the supervisory Board of Ajax.
Danny Blind will get to work in the supervisory Board of Ajax.
The former coach will remain for more than 3.5 years, until 2021 linked to the club. Blind was on march 12, already nominated as the successor to Theo van Duivenbode.
The supervisory Board of Ajax is now, in addition to Blind, from Leo van Wijk (chairman), Ernst Ligthart, Leen Meijaard and Peter Mensing.
Blind played between 1986 and 2000 for Ajax and shot his team in 1995 s to profit from the world Cup. He then served as a youth coach, head coach, head of training and technical manager at the Amsterdam club connected.
Blind went in 2011 as technical director of Ajax in the battle when the then decision makers of the club with Louis van Gaal as general manager want to go further. Johan Cruyff got, however, with a few youth coaches to the right and erases the appointment of Van Gaal to avoid. Blind decided his position when laying down.
Blind was last year fired as head coach of the Dutch national team.
