ANKARA – Turkish voters go more than a year earlier than planned to the polls. President Recep Tayyip Erdogan announced that on June 24, early presidential and parliamentary elections are held. The vote was actually scheduled for november 2019.
The AK party, Erdogan is almost sixteen years in power and wrote no earlier early elections. After the next ballot, the political system on the kick: the post of the prime minister shall lapse and the president gets more powers. Turkish voters voted in the referendum last year, with a grondwetswijzing that made it possible.
