Reggae Geel exists 40 years and celebrates that on Friday 3 and Saturday 4 August with some big names from the last few decades of reggae and dancehallmuziek.
On the first day of the festival is the look forward to the 90’s dancehallartiest Shabba Ranks and the project Havana Meets Kingston from the Australian producer Mista Savona. Saturday the legendary reggaeproducers Sly & Robbie along with the Taxi Gang and reggae legend Lee ‘Scratch’ Perry on the stage with Mad Professor.
Also high on the poster features Romain Virgo, a rising star in the Jamaican firmament that once the Jamaican ‘Idol’ won, and Anthony B, who for the second time at the festival.
Reggae Geel counts this year, five venues, but also offers children’s activities and a market with clothes, jewelry, plates, instruments, and art.
