The film is out later this year.
Pedro Almodovar is reunited with Antonio Banderas and Penelope Cruz for his new movie Dolor y Gloria.
Banderas and Asier Etxeandia will play the leading role in the film, while Cruz and Julieta Serrano supporting roles have gotten.
According to Almodovar, the movie will focus on “a series of encounters, some physically and others recalled after dozens of years, by a film director in his twilight years”.
The production of the film begins in July.
Almodovar has with Banderas to different movies worked, including Labyrinth of Passion, Tie Me Up! Tie Me Down!, and The Skin I Live In, while Cruz was to be seen in All About My Mother and Volver of the director. Banderas and Cruz also played together in 2013’s I’m So Excited.
Serrano was also to see in the Dark Habits of the director, Women On The Mist of a nervous breakdown and Tie Me Up! Tie Me Down!.
Cruz will also be seen in Everybody Knows. Her husband, Javier Bardem is than her opponent. In the Spanish-language psychological thriller directed by the Iranian Asghar Farhadi, plays Penelope, a Spanish woman living in Buenos Aires lives. Her return to her native village with her husband and children is disrupted by unexpected events and revealing secrets.
The film opens next month, the Cannes film Festival. Banderas this month to see if the painter Pablo Picasso in the tv series Genius.
