Wesley Sneijder hopes that coach Ronald Koeman is a function in the Dutch national team for him in mind now that he’s stopped is if international.
The 133-fold international put last month in consultation with Koeman a point behind his time as a player in Orange. He spoke at the time with the coach about a possible role as an assistant.
“Just because I’m the players of the Dutch national team through and through, ken. Maybe I can at another level, however, mean something. I have said that I want to help, in whatever function. That we need to see in the future,” said Sneijder on Tuesday in an interview with the Heroes.
The 33-year-old Utrechter as possible to the Dutch national team along the line while he as a player is still active in the Qatari Al-Gharafa seems weird.
“It is more logical to Orange to stop if you all stop with football. I am now fit, play every few days a match, have probably more wedstrijdminuten in my legs than others on the field soon,” said Sneijder.
“Myself knowing will give me that effort, because I have a primary need for me to prove. But well, so is it just now. It’s been lovely, it is ready and I have to shut it down. Another feature in Orange I would love it.”
