The 21-year-old Frenchman had last Sunday in the derby against Willem (1-2) out with a knee injury. Further investigation in the hospital revealed that for some time he no longer can play football. “The season is over for me,” he said.
According to NAC the exact severity of the injury yet to be determined. “The coming period is to look at how the recovery of the knee develops, and this, in conjunction with Manchester City, further examined,” reported the club. “But for now, it looks to be that he, in any case, this season has not been more action.”
Ambrose, rented from Manchester City, came in his first season at NAC ten times to score. The Breda club is currently in the premier league at the fifteenth place, four points above the degradatiestreep. NAC plays Wednesday against rival Sparta Rotterdam. This is followed by duels with sc Heerenveen and hekkensluiter FC Twente.
