Museum Rome robberies, 10,000 euros seized

ROME – A brutal robbery in an archaeological museum in Rome. Two armed robbers decided Sunday the museum Centrale Montemartini attack while the visitors stood in line. They knew 10,000 euro booty.

While one of the robbers, a gun directed at an employee, ordered the second robber, an employee to him at the vault. The thieves dragged the safe to the exit, where a third robber was waiting with a getaway car, reports the Italian Rai News.

No one was injured in the robbery. Also, there is nothing stolen from the art collection of the museum. Through eyewitnesses and security cameras, the police are now searching for the robbers.

The museum Centrale Montemartini is housed in a former power station and opened in 1997 the doors. In the museum are many classic images from the ancient world to admire.
