Nos batailles’, the second feature of the Brussels-based filmmaker Guillaume Senez, has been selected for the Semaine de la Critique, the oldest prestigious side section of the Cannes film Festival. Flemish co-producer is Bart Van Langendonck (‘Rundskop’), with Isabelle Trick of Iota Production as producer. The French Belgian Senez debuted as langspeelfilmer in 2015 with the print ‘Keeper’. Last week it became known that the feature debut ‘Girl’ by Lukas Dhondt in world premiere comes in the Cannes section Un Certain Regard.
Nos batailles’ tells the story of a man who fights against injustice at work. When his wife leaves the house and does not return, he must perforce also be at home to take responsibility and care for his children. The leading roles are played by Romain Dury, Laure Calamy, Lucie Debay, Basile Grunberger and Léna Girard Voss.
Nos batailles’ is a production of Iota Production, in coproduction with france’s Les Films Pelléas and the Brussels-Savage Film. Be For Films represents the film internationally and Cinéart distributes the film in the Benelux.
