BRUSSELS – On the French island of Martinique is the 35-year-old Belgian politician Emilie Eloy found dead. She was active in the French-speaking socialist party PS in Brussels. They would at the next elections is likely to a candidate. Reports that RTL.
The woman was on Tuesday found dead by her husband on Martinique. The couple would be together with a young child of about seven years, since april 1, staying in an apartment in Le Diamant, on the south side of the island. They would have complained about head – and stomach pain.
Given her young age, will an autopsy be performed to the cause of death to find out.
The 35-year-old Eloy worked for Citydev, the company responsible for the urban development of the Brussels-Capital Region, and was also employed at the STIB (public Transport Company, stib, Brussels).
The Belgian was an active member of the PS in Brussels. At the local elections in October, they might be eligible for the party in Sint-Pieters-Woluwe. In the previous national elections, she stood on the fourteenth place on the list.
The party has expressed sympathy to the relatives. “Today we are in a state of shock.” Also the youth movement of the PS has responded to the loss. “She was a mother, a friend and a great wife. We are happy that we have her as our friend was allowed to count.”
