Netflix shows no movies at Cannes film festival

Netflix has decided to during the prestigious film festival in Cannes, no movies to see. The streaming service does not agree with the decision of the filmfestival to Netflix to close of the competitions, reports The Hollywood Reporter. At the film festival new films will be screened and prizes will be distributed, including the Golden Palm for the best film. During last year’s edition threw the movies from Netflix high ratings in the French coastal town. Two Netflix movies, Okja, and The Meyerowitz Stories, fought when to take the Golden Palm. The organization decided last month, however, that streamingplatforms as Netflix no longer competing for the prizes, because the films are not shown in the French cinemas.
