Goolaerts got cardiac arrest even before his fall

Cyclist Michael Goolaerts (23) is not died by the fall that he made during the Paris-Roubaix. He got a cardiac arrest when he was on the bike sat. This is evident from the autopsy, reports VTM News.

Goolaerts was Sunday afternoon of a cardiac arrest during the cycling of the cycling race Paris-Roubaix. After about one hundred kilometers of cycling he struck against the plain. He was resuscitated and taken to the hospital of Lille. There he died Sunday evening in the presence of his family.

The public prosecutor of Cambrai opened an investigation to find out what lead to the death of the young cyclist has led. It now appears to be a heart failure to which he fell.

What the arrest has caused is still unclear. That should further investigation prove it.

For the start of the Brabantse pijl Wednesday afternoon was on the Grote Markt of Leuven tribute to Michael Goolaerts. His entire team was present and received a thunderous applause. For the start it was also a minute’s silence held.
