COPENHAGEN – The planned demolition of a large silo in Denmark is dramatically wrong. The approximately 53-meter high colossus fell after an explosion in the wrong direction. No one was injured, but a neighbouring library ran damage.
The demolition of the building in the port of Vordingborg went a half a year of preparation in advance. Research should reveal what went wrong.
Mayor Mikael Smed said to news agency Ritzau that it should be checked whether the damaged property is still sturdy enough. Also have fabric and glass to be cleaned up.
