The BBC admits that a piece of the award-winning eight-part series Human planet from the 2011 scene was set.
In one episode, members of the transport korowai, from Papua New Guinea to sleep in a very photogenic tree house. When the team from the BBC documentary My year with the tribe went looking for the place, they were told by tribal members that they are the cabins were built for the ‘people from overseas’.
‘The BBC has the scene from Human planet looking at and came to the conclusion that the imagery of the tree house as a residence is not accurate,’ reads the communiqué of the BBC.
The British public broadcaster says that it is a breach of the editorial standards and guidelines are now revised.
