The popular Dutch youth series Spangas is sold to the Norwegian public service station NRK Super. That made producer EN Film Wednesday known. The series is in the Netherlands, by the KRO-NCRV, broadcast on NPO 3.
“NRK Super was excited about the way Spangas complex societal themes such as bullying and gender diversity’ and at the same time entertaining. I think that’s a great compliment for the series,” says producer Kaja Wolffers of NL Film.
Spangas is the longest-running daily jeugddramaserie of the Netherlands. The program since 2007 has been on the tube and will celebrate later this year its 12,5 year anniversary with the 2000th episode. The won in the past prices as the Golden Penny (best youth program), also appeared in two feature films.
Previously was Gas already sold to Germany and were the remake rights to Switzerland sold.
