WASHINGTON/LONDON – An American and a British soldier were Thursday night killed in an attack with an improvised bomb near the town Manbij in northern Syria. That have British and American military authorities Friday reported.

The victims were part of an allied unit that fought against the last remnants of Islamic State. They are the first victims of such an attack this year.
