Watzke clashed in the past regularly with Sammer as director of Bayern Munich, among others, Robert Lewandowski, Mats tiny toddlers and Mario Götze eliminated by Dortmund.
“But we are older and mature,” said Watzke. “In the discussions with Matthias, I’ve noticed that he’s much more affinity with ‘BVB’ than many think.”
