PRISTINA – Kosovo has six Turkish nationals arrested and extradited to Turkey. The six are, according to the Turkish government links with the movement of the spiritual Fethullah Gulen, who was behind the failed couppoging of summer 2016.
The six worked for the schools which were financed by the Gulen movement. Turkey considers the movement as a terrorist organization. According to the Turkish state news agency Anadolu kept the men busy with the recruitment of new members in the Balkans and raising funds. They would also Gulen followers have helped Turkey to escape.
Turkey is an important investor in Kosovo. According to a senior Kosovar official would the Turkish government’s pressure exercised on the poverty-stricken balkan country to act against the Gülen-schools.
