The American film director Steven Spielberg wants to be a historical mini-series to produce about the Spanish conquistador Hernan Cortes (1485-1547). The role of the conquistador will be played by Javier Bardem, report different American media.
Just like its main character, the script is a long history behind it. The original version dates back to the early 60’s and was jotted down by the renowned Hollywood screenwriter Dalton Trumbo, known for epic films “Spartacus” and “Exodus”. A film version never happened, so edited screenwriter Steve Zaillian (“Schindler’s List”) the original script for the small screen.
The story will mainly revolve around the encounter between the conquistador Cortes and Moctezuma, the last leader of the Aztecs in the year 1519. By his keen political and strategic insight could Cortes and his Spanish troops to the Aztec empire and overthrow.
