The French court is investigating whether the murder of an elderly jewish woman, anti-semitic motifs. The 85-year-old woman was in her apartment stabbed to death.
Mirelle Knoll, an 85-year-old woman that the Holocaust has survived, was Friday found dead in her burned-out apartment. From the autopsy it appeared that she, with eleven knife wounds to life.
Two suspects, men of 22 and 29 years, were arrested. There are indications that Knoll was murdered because she was jewish, says the public prosecutor.
“We are very shocked’, reacts to her son. “I don’t understand how someone a woman can kill who has no money and in a social dwelling.’
In 1942 the jewish woman as a child, along with 13.000 other jews to the velodrome, Vélodrome d’hiver led. From there they were deported to extermination camps of the nazis, but Knoll managed to escape.
The jewish community responds shocked at the murder and is concerned about the violent anti-semitism in the country. Last year was a 65-year-old orthodox jewish woman beaten and out of her window thrown. It was an anti-semitic murder, the court concluded last month.
