Starting Wednesday, you can get in National Geographic look at One Strange Rock, an intriguing series about the earth. The series was canned on the basis of the experiences of eight astronauts. A visual tour de force from director Darren Aronofsky with Will Smith as narrator.
Darren Aronofsky and National Geographic struck for this series for the first time, the hands in each other. The director was very excited about the collaboration with Will Smith: “I am very happy with Will Smith as a guide in our series. His charisma, intelligence and humanity will help the viewers to take in the story about the incredible miracle that life on earth”, he said.
The canning of the series was a really great feat. The recordings lasted for more than 100 weeks and took place in 45 countries, across six continents. National Geographic even sent a special VR-camera to the International Space Station (ISS) from the space to be able to film.
