Two years after the death of Johan Cruyff is the name of the stadium of Ajax, still not officially renamed until the Cruijff ArenA.
The supporters of Ajax is clear what needs to be done.
In his column in Telesport/Telegraaf reacts son Jordi Cruijff: “It is therefore particularly disappointing that there is still no solution for the naming of the Ajax-stadium. Hopefully it is only a matter of time that the municipality of Amsterdam, the amsterdam ArenA and Ajax still the Cruyff ArenA present. We as a family are the wait-and-see party. We can say ’forget it’, but we don’t want to,” says Jordi.
“My father was a citizen of Amsterdam, a real and a world-famous, do not forget that. And he had a super special bond with Ajax. You read that also in his book ‘My Story’. After the death of his father was the club like a second father for him. I think he Cruijff ArenA now deserves.”
