BRASILIA – The former president of Brazil, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, has again a legal defeat ago. A court of appeal wiped procedural objections to his conviction for corruption of table.

Lula has previously been on appeal and sentenced to twelve years in prison. He remains in each case to april 4, on free feet. Will be decided by the supreme court or the former president are a means of redress must exhaust before he must begin his prison sentence.
The court ruled in 2016 that suspects their punishment should begin when their first appeal against conviction is dismissed. That decision, however, is up for debate.

Lula wants to again participate in the presidential elections, but will his conviction presumably ineligible to be declared. Still, he leads the polls.
He was at the beginning of 2003 to 2011 president, on behalf of the left-wing labour Party. Followers of Lula think that he is persecuted to prevent him from again taking part in the elections.
