The Oscar-nominated Australian actress Margot Robbie (“I, Tonya”) works with the Australian public broadcaster ABC and production company Clinic to a new television series about the work of Shakespeare. The stories are told from a female perspective, reports the filmmagazine Deadline.

The television series, that as yet no title, will consist of ten episodes and is based on various works of Shakespeare. The series takes place in the contemporary world, and stresses the cultural diversity of Australia. “The stories of the tv series are told from different perspectives and are produced by writers with a diverse background”, says the spokesperson of Robbies production company LuckyChap Entertainment.

Margot Robbie founded LuckyChap Entertainment in 2014 on to make movies with and about women. One of the most successful productions of the company is “I, Tonya”, an American sportfilm about a scandal involving the talented kunstschaatster Tonya Harding. In the film, from 2017 played Robbie is the star of Harding.
