Alison Van Uytvanck (WTA 51) on Thursday failed to qualify for the third round of the WTA tournament in Miami (hardcourt/8.648.508 dollar). Van Uytvanck had after a mere two hours of tennis in two sets (6-3, 7-6 (7/4)) and the thumbs for the Polish Agnieszka Radwanska (WTA 32). In her first round, Van Uytvanck is the measure taken from the Ukrainian Kateryna Bondarenko (WTA 73).

Yanina Wickmayer (WTA 109) and Ysaline Bonaventure (WTA 137) fell in the qualifiers in Florida.
