Wouter De Clerck was the audience favorite in the second season of Idol in 2014. Would eventually jump-in-‘t-field, Wouter second end after the alternative Yuri, but his single “Walking in Memphis” scored well and Wouter seemed to be on the road to a great career… But nothing was less true.
Wouter testifies in TV Family how he is more a product felt than a man. The success ebbing away, his relationship with fellow candidate Laura ran on the rocks and Wouter got to contend with a burn-out. By financial problems, he ended up in the mediation of debts and a little later he also started anxiety attacks. Wouter had himself for some months in a psychiatric institution until he came to rest.
Meanwhile, the weather is much better with Wouter, and yes, also the muziekmicrobe began to itch. In the easter holidays, we see him as Alex The Lion in the musical Madagascar, but he is also back with a band on stage. With two bands even. Both party band, Tracy Lane as Punishment Toebak, he sings again the tiles of the roof.
