National Geographic made the ten-part series of Genius: Picasso, the Spanish painter Pablo Picasso. Antonio Banderas crawled for the occasion in the skin of the artist.
Picasso is the second genius to whom a series of Genius is dedicated, the first was Einstein. The painter has this honor due to his high productivity – Picasso made in his life nearly 50,000 works of art – and his quirky character. Also this series is produced by Hollywoodlegende Ron Howard.
Poppy Delevingne
Picasso is one of the most influential artists of the twentieth century. Outside of that, he had a passionate and outspoken character, many affairs, and he found himself again and again. Antonio Banderas plays the older Picasso, Alex Rich (Glow) is the young version. Other roles for Poppy Delevingne, and Clémence Poésy, who, respectively, Picasso’s muses, Marie-Thérèse Walter and Françoise Gilot life.
