Ronaldinho has found a new challenge. The Golden Ball of 2005, taking its first steps in the politics. He signed a terminal board with the Brazilian republican party (Partido Republicano Brasileiro).
Ronaldinho, who today/Wednesday, his 38th birthday, began in January a point behind his impressive football career. The Brazilian dribbelkont wore the shirt from the top clubs like PSG, Barcelona and Milan, was a champion in Spain and Italy and won with Barça in the Champions League in 2006. For the national team, he scored 33 times in 97 international matches, with the world title in 2002 as the highlight.
The ex-footballer is considering in October a candidate for the senaatsverkiezingen. “I am excited to be part of a project that is best for our country,” he says.
Ronaldinho is not the first Brazilian ex-voetbalvedette in the politics. Among others, Romario and Bebeto, world champions in 1994, went for him.
