JERUSALEM – A Palestinian teenage girl who was filmed when she was an Israeli soldier on the occupied West Bank kicked and punched, gets eight months in prison. That follows on from the deal which on Wednesday closed with the military prosecutor’s office, reported the news site of Haaretz in Israel. According to the deal she would be guilty of arguing against a reduced sentence.

Ahed Tamimi (17) was a heroine for the Palestinians after the incident on december 15, outside her home in the village of Nabi Saleh. It was streamed live on Facebook by her mother.

The trial against the Palestinian and her mother Nariman began last month, an Israeli military court. The authorities arrested the women after the video had surfaced in which the teen the Israeli military stores.
