Rosie moves with her mother to an apartment on the other side of Brussels. They will learn there are a lot of people know: the crazy mr. Branch, the eccentric mrs. the kingdom of Heaven, and especially, Moussa, who in the apartment above her lives. He takes Rosie on a tour through the whole neighborhood. They scramble even all the way to the roof of the apartment building. And together they go in search of Rosie’s dad, who is already not come home any more…
Expect a beautiful story about life, love, and friendship in the big city, played by an excellent cast.
In the film you see Savannah Vandendriessche (11) and Imad Borji (13), which was chosen for the role of Moussa during a street casting session in Brussels. Ruth Beeckmans, and Titus to shine as the mom and dad of Rosie, and Mourade Zeguendi plays the fun uncle, Ibrahim. Furthermore, you can also see Damiaan De Schrijver, Katelijne Damen and Bert Haelvoet.
‘Rosie & Moussa is a heart-warming film by Dorothee Van den Berghe, based on the children’s books by Michael de Cock and Judith Vanistendael. The film has recently received the Prize of the children’s jury won the 21st International children’s film festival of Montreal.
