After his stay in a rehab clinic last year blows Ben Affleck his acting career back to life with a role in a Netflix Original movie. The 45-year-old “oscar” Italian joins a cast with, among others, Pedro Pascal – Oberyn Martell in the HBO series ‘Game of Thrones’ – and Charles Hunnam – star of the tv series ‘Sons of Anarchy’. That report entertainmentmagazine Deadline.

Last summer left the ‘Argo’director (temporary) for the project because of his ongoing alcohol addiction. It was yet another setback for the project, that is about five friends who join forces for a South American drug lord to tackle. The film is already a few years in the voorproductiefase but would now really off to a good start shooting. The recordings would be available later this month started in Hawaii.

Other big names on board include Oscar Isaac, known from the ‘Star Wars’movies, and Adria Arjona – Emily from the HBO series ‘True Detective’. ‘A Most Violent Year’director J. C. Chandor the director.

Affleck would initially together with his brother Casey and Mahershala Ali, “oscar” Italian for his supporting role in ‘Moonlight’, on the set, but that went both back by either.
