The Kremlin is demanding that London ‘sooner or later’ evidence or apologises for the accusations that Russia is involved in the poisoning of the former double agent Sergei Skripal in Great Britain.
‘Sooner or later they will be accountable should record for these accusations: they should either provide proof or apologize’, said Dmitri Peskov, the spokesman of the Kremlin.
According to Peskov, it means the situation is not that the relations with the West have deteriorated. “It’s going to be a difficult to explain, unmotivated stream of slander against Russia on the part of Great Britain,” said Peskov.
Sergey and Yulia Skripal are still in a critical condition. They were on 4 march found unconscious on a bench in a park in Salisbury. London assumes that Moscow is behind the gifaanval, and is supported by countries such as France, Germany and the United States.
In the meantime, both of British and of Russian side diplomatic sanctions hit.
