BELGRADE – Branislav Ivanovic may no longer be the captain of Serbia. Coach Mladen Krstajic has the 34-year-old defender as ‘captain’ dropped off. The two-year-younger Aleksandar Kolarov (AS Roma) is the new leader of the national team, with Nemanja Matic (Manchester United) as vice-captain.
Ivanovic (ex-Chelsea, now Zenit St. Petersburg) currently remains as a member of the Serbian selection. He came so far a hundred times for the national team. Ivanovic served since 2012 as the captain of Serbia.
