The four-time African footballer of the year (2011, 2012, 2013 and 2014) in 2016 decided to no longer be a candidate. The 34-year-old Touré, who is with Manchester City only sporadic playing time, came recently on the back.
He left at the end of last year via his agent already know to be open to a return in the Ivorian national team. The new coach Ibrahim Kamara, the successor of the departed Marc Wilmots, called Touré on for the next oefeninterlands against Togo and Moldova. Both matches will be in the French city of Beauvais played. Defender Wilfried Kanon of ADO Den Haag is also in the selection.
Touré did with the Ivory coast at the world cup of 2006, 2010 and 2014. The strong midfielder of Manchester City, led his country in 2015 as leader of the African title. He pointed out that last year a comeback in the national team even when Wilmots at him aanklopte. The Belgian coach was not in côte d’ivoire to the world cup in Russia.
