Andrea Guardini (Bardiani-CSF) has Sunday as the first stage in the wielerronde van Langkawi (2.BC) to his name. The Italian, also the first leader, won after 147,9 km between Kangar and Kulim in a bunch sprint for the South Korean Seo Joon Yong (KSPO Bianchi Asia Procycling) and the Eritreeër Mekseb Debesay (Dimension Data).
The 28-year-old Guardini is the absolute zegekoning in the Tour of Langkawi. Over the past years he won in Malaysia for 22 stages. Tomorrow (Monday) the riders will go to 208.3 km between Gerik and Kota Bharu. There are no belgian part. The Tour of Langkawi is the 23rd edition, and lasts eight days (till 25 march). Last year went out of the race to the South African Ryan Gibbons.
