BERLIN – The new airport of Berlin, that seven years ago had finished, it can be better to be demolished and re-built. That has Lufthansa director Thorsten Dirks, according to the newspaper Frankfurter Allgemeine said.
The airport ha din 2011 the doors will be open, but inspections over the past few years thousands of defects found. According to Dirks are many technical installations, now obsolete and can also be a large part of the furniture unused to be disposed of.
“I expect that the airport will be demolished and re-built,” Dirks said. A spokesman for Lufthansa denied later that that is the position of the big German airline.
The costs of the airport are now risen from 2 billion euros to 7 billion euros.
Berlin Brandenburg Airport should had the smaller airports, Tegel and Schönefeld seven years ago must be replaced.
