Christanne de Bruijn and Joey Schalker go playing the lead roles in She loves me, the women of the hit film You’ve got mail with Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan. Producer The Kernploeg brings the show this summer on the shelves.
De Bruijn and Schalker play two colleagues in a perfume that one cannot air or see. In the meantime, they are without the to know online each other’s pen pals, and they slowly but surely fall in love with each other.
Schalker had previously been seen in Legally Blonde, Soldier of Orange and The Producers. De Bruijn is known from roles in musicals as Wicked, Sister Act and Dolfje Weerwolfje. She is also this autumn to see in The Conductor, a biografiefilm about Antonia Brico, the first female conductor in the world.
The supporting roles
The supporting roles in She loves me are there for Freek Bartels, Jip Bartels and Dennis Willekens (The Marathon, Sister Act). It is the first time that the musical in the Netherlands. The Kernploeg had last summer a hit with the show A New Brain, with Freek Bartels and Lone van Roosendaal.
She Loves me is mid-July to see in Dansmakers, a part of the Kromhouthal in Amsterdam North. The performance is partly due to crowdfunding financed, via the website voordekunst.nl. The ticket sale has already started.
