Poet and writer F. Starik’s Friday at the age of 59 died of a heart attack. That has its publisher Nieuw Amsterdam published.
F. the old Man (pseudonym of Frank von der Möhlen) has published ten books of poetry. His most recent collection, was published in 2015. He was city poet of Amsterdam from 2010 to 2012.
Since 2002, managed the old Man, the Amsterdam Group of Death. This is a group of poets of varying composition that at funerals of the lonely dead poems writes and recites. He wrote two books: The lonely funeral (2005) and A plug deep. Sketches of lives lost (2011).
The old man often came, amongst others at festivals such as Lowlands and Oerol. Last Sunday was his last performance on the international dichtersfestival StAnza, in Scotland.
