John van den Brom has his contract with AZ Friday with one season extended. The trainer is now until mid-2019 at the Alkmaar club.
The contract extension does not come as a surprise. Van den Brom, who have already been 2014 trainer of AZ, said the past few weeks on several occasions that he wants to be in AZ and the results are good. The Alkmaarders play on april 22, the KNVB cup final against Feyenoord.
“I am pleased with the confidence that I get from the clubleiding”, said Van den Brom Friday, shortly after the signing of the contract against AZ TV. “We can determine that we are on the right road, but we are convinced it could be even better than we already show.”
The contract extension begins Van den Brom in August on his fifth sezioen in AZ, after he with the club third, fourth and fifth in the Eredivisie. Currently the plpoeg of Van den Brom, on the third place.
