WASHINGTON – The former envoy for North Korea from the US, Joseph Yun, the regime in North Korea is called a positive signal by three American prisoners in the run-up to the summit between the country and the US. That has Yun, who last month suddenly retired, said in an interview with CNN.

The special envoy said that the North Korean leaders are called to respond to the notice of president Donald Trump that he met with North Korean leader Kim Jong-un. “I have spoken with the North Koreans and have a single message to them, namely that this is an incredible opportunity for both sides and that they need to respond”, said Yun.

“I have them on the heart that this is a very good time to prisoners so that they can be reunited with their families. That would also be a very positive signal”, said the former envoy.
