PARIS – The French trade unions of railway workers have Thursday agreed on a series of consecutive strikes. Starting on 3 april and will be in a period of three months for 36 days. The work stoppages are a protest against the regeringsplan the national rail company SNCF to reform.
The unions have to let you know that every five days of work for 48 hours is set down.
The French government is in favour of the largest reorganization of the debt-overloaded SNCF since the nationalization of the railways in the thirties. That means that there is an end to the guaranteed job at the end for the life and the abolition of the generous arrangements for early retirement.
